The bike arrived to us brand new, with zero miles direct from the dealer via a transport company.
Here is the bike, just after arriving:
The first step for us is a dyno break in and a couple of baseline pulls.
Here's a video of the end of the break in. Sounds pretty good for a stock machine!

Shortly after, we begin a teardown, to remove much of the OEM equipment and prepare for the build.
Here are some more shots of the bike and some of our components:
Next, the teardown begins.
Let's add some color and durability for more extreme conditions with some Samco hoses.
For the exhaust system, we went with the race proven Akrapovic Evolution system, in full titanium with a carbon fiber canister.
The shock absorber was upgraded to a AP 468 TTX GP shock absorber by Ohlins, which features a brand-new valving and adds hydraulic preload adjustment over the OEM unit. Of course length was set to achieve a perfect balance for the machine.
Next up, we tackled some wheels and brakes. For the wheels, we opted for OZ GASS RS-A forged aluminum units. Thes are a stronger and lighter, more race oriented unit, while adding a really strong aesthetic enhancement to the bike. We're retaining the OEM front rotors and using an SBU rear rotor to drop another pound.
We've shod the wheels in Pirelli superbike slicks. These are our favorite slick and will provide the customer with substantial grip & feel.
Our OZ wheel with an SC1 slick by Pirelli and a Drive Systems Superlite aluminum sprocket.
Here we've added Lightech chain adjusters to our rear end. This adds convenience, ease of use and accuracy. They also look pretty nice!
For the front brakes, we're keeping the Brembo M50 monoblock, but adding Vesrah RJLXX pads, a popular and durable high performance race pad.
Next, we've upgraded foot controls. Our rearset of choice for this bike was by Attack Performance. They offer high quality, plenty of adjustment and a fantastic design.
Lastly, we had to remove the smog system for proper AFR readings when the time comes for dyno tuning. We used Driven block off plates for this.
The next step is some proper radiator protection, for this we chose Cox guards, in a titanium finish.
Next up, we've got a beautiful IMA thumb brake system, with billet masters for both the thumb and foot. These will be paired with CoreMoto brake lines.
For protection, Chris really liked the R&G brand, which is popular in British Superbike. We used a comprehensive protection package from them.
Naturally, we also wanted to go to a 520 conversion kit. We used an EK MVXZ2 chain and Drive Systems sprockets.
For our brake lever guard, we went with the tried and true Zeta unit, favored by Toni Elias, Roger Hayden & the Yoshimura Suzuki team.
For clip ons, we used the Evol Technology 51mm units. These were favored by Claudio Corti and have a nice fitment, better leverage and more room on the bars. Domino grips round them out.
We opted for a Zeta Ratio Device clutch perch. This allows adjustable feel and leverage on cable clutches and features a sleek, folding low drag lever with excellent feel.
